I recently had the pleasure to compare the Tamron 150-600 G2 telephoto lens and the Sigma 150-600 Sports lens. I have owned the Sigma for a few years, however the Tamron is new to me and I love it.

Robert and I headed out to Bosque Del Apache with both lenses and a canon 5dMK4. Robert tagged along to shoot video and we got busy photographing wildlife with these high performance Zoom lenses.

To say one lens was better than the other would be a tuff decision as both lenses were amazing. Sigma 150-600 HSM Sport Lens Tamrom 150-600 G2. Both Amazing and very good lenses.

I will say that I really loved the handling and the feel of the Tamron Lens. The images were sharp and the tracking and focus speed were exceptional. Because the Tamron 150-600 is a small and lighter lens than the Sigma 150-600 I find it to be a bit more attractive for fly in Safaris. The Sigma is a very sharp lens and mine has been to both Africa and Alaska many times, but is built like a take but is heavy and a little clumsy in comparison to the Tamron. I have also found the customer service at Tamron to be tops with a very friendly staff.
